Loved Traffic? See Syriana.

From the screenwriter of Traffic, comes George Clooney starring in Syrianna, opening on Dec. 9. Screenwriter Stephen Gaghan writes his first blog entry today at Huffington Post. It's great to see two great Clooney flicks out right now, one about the role journalism should play (Good Night and Good Luck) and the other about the role oil plays in politics and the corruption that ensues. Syriana is based on the book "See No Evil," which was discussed a couple days ago on All Things Considered. (Listen here.) Fresh Air. Amazingly, the ex-CIA agent/author (whose character Clooney plays in Syriana) talked to NPR's Robert Siegel about being disowned by the CIA after he left and being threatened with prosecution for the capital crime of attempting to murder a guy you may have heard of by the name of Saddam. You can't make this stuff up, which is why I can't wait for the book and the movie, which is out tomorrow.
